52 Weeks of Messina | Week 24 Pet Photographer Victoria, BC
Messina helped me scout out some light and locations for my special shoot on Thursday. Stay tuned as it is a new session called "Love....Actually".
I shot this one from my hip and then looked to see what I got. I love it for a couple of reasons. It shows Mess's curly little cowlick on her chest. It also shows her bald spot from last September where she had a PIC line when she was sick. Since she is still taking meds that are making her hair not grow back, she has this spot, as well as on her side and an almost bald belly. It makes her look like a scarred veteran in a dangerous neighborhood!

Poor Messy Bean.....She is not the official participant in my 52 Weeks for Dogs project this year and she is the one that gets put to the wayside when I am busy. I missed 2 weeks in the last 6 weeks, Weeks 13-18.

52 Weeks of Messina | Week 7
Messina's head has changed a lot this year with her illness. I was hoping to have an action shot this week, but when I was looking through the shots, this one really stood out for me. I think it is the shadows, but it almost looks like her old, big, beautiful head. I also love the eye contact here sooo much. Waiting for a cookie and I had the zoom lens on so she was far away and inching forward.

Messina and I were coming back from our run and she walked by my sister's fence and I saw this great shadow. I went and grabbed my camera and stood her again. I love the way the lines focused on her.
