Rainbow Session - Dibley | Pet Photographer Victoria BC
I LOVE a grey muzzle. Don't get me wrong, a cute little puppy with puppy breath is awfully adorable, but an older dog with a grey muzzle and wiseness in his eyes, they make me smile.
Introducing DIBLEY.
I have know him and his "mom" for many years, have watched him compete over the years. I have watched my own baby Messina, bow down to him - she really adores him - one of the first weims she met when we moved out to Victoria from Calgary and she fell in love with this older man. He is a sweet dog who is 14 years old. This is definitely a senior in the weimaraner world, but he still is out there running with the new addition to his family, baby sister Rizz. He is super multi-talented, his registered name is
Bartland's Victor of Dibley CDX TDX DD RAE2 AGXV AGXJV NRD VX Am. CD RE CGC. Those titles for all of you non-dog owners are obedience, tracking, retrieving, draft dog, and agility titles.
What is a Rainbow Session??? It is a session for that special dog in your family who has been around for a long time or maybe leaving us way too soon. The Rainbow Bridge is a place that all great dogs go when they leave your side. Rainbows also have a special place in my own heart and I thought would be the best name for these special sessions for your best friends. The session will be at your home as well as a location of your choice. It is a time to spend an hour or so with your best buddy, the focus on your best buddy, just hanging, or playing whatever they like to do. You will receive a disk of high resolution digital images as a keepsake. Contact me for more details.
And now Dibley!!!
Joy.....
Oh.....a grey muzzle.

Jack + Ginger | Pet Photographer Victoria, BC
Back in June, I had the pleasure of photographing the Best in Show - Dog Show for Mutts at the Delta Ocean Pointe Resort in conjunction with the SPCA. Kristy and Jack were entered and they won the gift certificate I had donated. I met with Jack and his buddy Ginger the rottie, last week out at Beaver Lake Ponds and had a blast.

The Lovely Betsy | Victoria BC Headshots
I liked Betsy from the first minute we met, why you ask...well Riley was attached via leash. 2 redheads on one day, what more could a photographer want???? Oh I know, a bag full of colorful tops and scarves! Betsy is starting a new realtor career and wanted a few headshots. We headed down to one of my favourite urban locations and had a great time. I love getting to know my clients when I meet them for a portrait and headshot session. There is always a lot of talking and chatting as well as a lot of laughs. My jokes are terrible, just ask Betsy, but they do get some natural laughs. Betsy wanted a set of images that would show her true personality, her striped hat that all her neighbors and friends would recognize. I think we captured her natural beauty while showing how trustful and genuine she is. Thank you Betsy for a great afternoon.......you look gorgeous!
Good luck Betsy with your new real estate career. If you are looking for a real estate agent, check her out at Royal Lepage. If you are a Victoria small business owner, artist, blogger, or professional and are looking for a set of professional but modern business portraits, I'd love to hear from you.

Best in Show - Dog Show for Mutts - Delta Ocean Point Resport and BCSPCA | Pet Photographer Victoria BC
I love dogs, of all shapes and sizes. For anyone that knows me, I have been to my share of dog shows. I have shown my own dog Messina, but this was a bit different. The 3rd annual Best in Show - The Dog Show for Mutts was held on Saturday, June 2nd at the Delta Victoria Ocean Point Resort and Spa and I had the honor of covering the event. All funds raised were donated to the BCSPCA. Dogs competed in such categories as Best Dressed, Looks Most Like Owner, Best Trick, Most Distinguishing Feature, Most Original Hair, Cutest Male Dog and Cutest Female Dog. The event raised over $4300 and here are some of my favourite shots from the day! If you are the owners of the dogs in ANY of these pictures, please feel free to download the images or share with friends and family (via facebook etc). Just please don't remove the watermark.
Also, remember that for the month of June, all pet fees at the Delta will be donated to the BCSPCA, so if you are looking for a great place to stay with your dog this month, you know where to go.
