A brother is a friend given by nature.

My two little nephews, they are going to have a lot of fun as they grow up, just 20 months apart.  You can see how much Johnny is loving baby as Matthew is called.

Here are the rest of the shots from today's shoot.  The first one is my entry for 52 weeks of dogs.  Don't you love the look on her face, I am not sure if it is I am done with this or I am getting the heck out of here.

ZEN....this one she has her eyes closed.  She was sniffing away and I guess she thought she could smell better with her eyes closed...love this capture.

80 | 365 Daffodil Day

There are lots of planted daffodil fields here in Victoria as they are grown and then picked for next month and distribution across Canada.  However, what most people don't know is that daffodils grow like dandelions here as well in yards, fields, parks, etc.  We headed down to Dallas Road today and here is today's entry for 365.  Shot with the 80-200 2.8...wow I LOVE this lens.

79 | 365 Fire Hydrant

I drive by this hydrant a lot, as it is on the side of the road on the way to my sister's house.  I thought it would make a great image with the green grass and long grass in the field and ditch.  It didn't dissapoint, but I did get some weird looks from people driving by of why I was taking pictures of a hydrant :)

And because a whole week of images with no people or dogs, here is a bonus shot of Messina relaxing after our walk today.

Do you know how expensive a small container of raspberries are at this time of the year?  Too expensive to buy, but bought them anyway for this day of red.  Messina and I ate them all well we took these shots.  Lasted about 7 minutes.

I love when you can start to buy 2 bundles of tulips in the grocery store for $7.00.  Loved these red ruffled ones, and had to edit 2 shots.

A little drama for a Saturday night.  Just the outside light on my deck throwing some great light on the vase.

Trip home from Vancouver.  I couldn't decide on just one.  You can see the mountains that played such a role in the Olympics less than a month ago in the background.  The 2nd one, just a lone seagul taking a break on the ferry.

Tried to be a bit creative for my 52 weeks of dogs this week.  Put Mess on the deck in the deck, setup the off camera flash to her left and got a couple of good shots.  The first one is my favourite.

This Face.......

These are the faces that make me love this child.  The silly, the serious, every face.  He has started "posing" for aunty and her camera.  It is suuuper cute, but we get a lot of cheesy faces like the first picture. The 2nd photo is pure laughing joy as he swings on the swing.  The third one, oh my, soooo serious at the end of a swing.  For someone so small, he sure has managed to grab my heart and make it love like it never has.  Thanks Johnny Russ.

My sis and I had some fun on Friday with baby Matthew.   Although he wasn't keen on sleeping until the end, there were some great shots.  He was hilarious as would wake up and open his eyes with the click of the shutter.  He may not smile and say "cheese" like his big brother Johnny!!
