The W. Family | Family Photographer Victoria, BC

I love that the W. Family decided to take some family photos with grown up kids!!  When the kids are little it is much easier to get the pictures, but with activities and jobs and life, harder to arrange for 4 family members to be at the same place at the same time.  Throw in one rain cancellation and we finally got the chance to meet out at Fleming Beach on a cloudy morning in November.

Rain Rain Go Away | Family and Child Photographer Victoria, BC

Rain...it is what Victoria "does" in November.  I should know this but still think I can have sessions every weekend in November, both Saturday and Sunday.  Well we won this day.  Although it was a bit grey and started to sprinkle at the end, we still managed to have a play in the backyard with the M. Family. Just catching up on my sneak peaks....getting a bit behind.

Friends | Family Photographer Victoria, BC

I love taking photos of friends.  I call the K. family friends, well they are friends and neighbors of my sister's family, but I see them often.  The girls often waving to me as I arrive or leave my sis's house.  My nephews adore both Maddie and Lila.....maybe one day you never know who will be breaking hearts.  We headed to Beacon Hill park and tried to beat the rain.  We weren't very successful (you can see the drops in many of the shots), but we had fun and a few laughs and I love the casualness of many of the shots.
Enjoy!

I love when yearly photos capture every part of a child's life...including the toothless smile in Grade 1!

The curly hair just got better as the it continued to rain.

Perfect Fall Day | Family and Child Photographer Victoria, BC

I know that I have said this before, but I love seeing families each year or after a few years.  I last saw the M. Family back when big brother L. was about 5 months old.  I couldn't believe how big he got but also how much little brother K. looks so much like him at almost the same age.  We headed out to the grounds at University of Victoria (really need to go out there more often, sooo pretty) and we had a blast, pup included!    So many smiles, one of my all new favourite sessions this fall.  Here's a sneak peak!  Enjoy.

Familiar Faces | Family and Child Photographer Victoria BC

I LOVE to see families again each year.  Mr. K. is growing up so much, now 3.  Hanging onto his playschool toys and all about the lollipop I promised him at the end of the session.

Baby Finley | Newborn Photographer Victoria BC

Mr. Finley was the best sleeper ever!!!  Such a cutie!  We even got a few images with his big eyes open.
Mama's maternity session was here.

Rainbow Session - Dibley | Pet Photographer Victoria BC

I LOVE a grey muzzle.  Don't get me wrong, a cute little puppy with puppy breath is awfully adorable, but an older dog with a grey muzzle and wiseness in his eyes, they make me smile.
Introducing DIBLEY.
I have know him and his "mom" for many years, have watched him compete over the years.  I have watched my own baby Messina, bow down to him - she really adores him - one of the first weims she met when we moved out to Victoria from Calgary and she fell in love with this older man.  He is a sweet dog who is 14 years old.  This is definitely a senior in the weimaraner world, but he still is out there running with the new addition to his family, baby sister Rizz.  He is super multi-talented, his registered name is
Bartland's Victor of Dibley CDX TDX DD RAE2 AGXV AGXJV NRD VX Am. CD RE CGC.  Those titles for all of you non-dog owners are obedience, tracking, retrieving, draft dog, and agility titles.

What is a Rainbow Session???  It is a session for that special dog in your family who has been around for a long time or maybe leaving us way too soon.  The Rainbow Bridge is a place that all great dogs go when they leave your side.  Rainbows also have a special place in my own heart and I thought would be the best name for these special sessions for your best friends.  The session will be at your home as well as a location of your choice.  It is a time to spend an hour or so with your best buddy, the focus on your best buddy, just hanging, or playing whatever they like to do.  You will receive a disk of high resolution digital images as a keepsake.  Contact me for more details.
And now Dibley!!!

 Joy.....
 Oh.....a grey muzzle.
