233-365 | Swans
Sometimes life reminds you of what is really important. On the way to the wedding, I stopped at Esquimalt Lagoon to check out a couple of locations for shooting later in the day. The swans were beautiful and made me think of my Dad and my hometown, Swan River.

231-365 | What?
Sometimes Johnny is sooo amusing. He wanted to know why I wanted to take his picture. The "Elmo is in my camera" is getting old so instead today I had to try dinosaurs which didn't work, so had to move onto helicopters which at least got his attention for a minute for me to try out the wide angle lens.
Needed to post 2 today as Johnny was playing in the sink and filling a cup with the shot glass and then gave himself a "dyborja" and had a drink of his pretend "juice". My Dad would have loved this shot.

230-365 and 33-52 | More Sun Dog
Messina is not going to like when the weather starts to change. This was also our submission for 52 Weeks for Dogs this week.

229-365 | Lost
It is day 229 of the 365 project and I don't have a picture. Messina and I went to the park to try out the camera body I had rented and took a whole bunch of pictures of her on the gravel hill, working on a great silhouette picture. I got some great ones. When I was getting ready for the wedding that weekend, I thought I had just taken the card out of the camera to download later, but honestly not sure if I formatted over or lost a card at this point, ugh. No pic for today, but maybe someday I will find them :(

Sherri & Dave - August 21, 2010 Part 2 | Wedding and Portrait Photographer, Victoria BC
The wind helped and hurt us as you can see in some of the bride and groom portraits. It managed to provide our own natural fan at the waterfall, but you can see the whitecaps at Esquimalt Lagoon.
Enjoy.....
My FAVOURITE-----oh I love a serious face.
Oh...that wind.

Sherri & Dave - August 21, 2010 PART 1 | Wedding and Portrait Photographer, Victoria BC
What I loved about Sherri and Dave's wedding:
1. The Shoes - glamourous and high and perfect to photograph
2. Sherri's Dad seeing her for the first time in her dress and then proceeding to assist with how to fix the no eyelet issue.
3. The Wind - we couldn't have asked for a better wind machine to create some great moments (see first kiss as husband and wife and waterfall shots), BUT we could have used a bit less wind at the beach.
4. The Waterfall at Olympic View - what a great location for photographs, loved it and my favourite shot from the day is there, can you guess which one?
5. The Food - AMAZING is all I can say.
6. The PARTY - this couple and their friends and family really know how to party, loved the dancing.
7. Family - They say it takes a village to raise a child, both Sherri and Dave's family proved this. All I felt was the love between them all.
8. Kiss - Instead of the clinking glasses, guests could sing a love song or make a donation to the couple. A gentleman got up and said the sweetest thing that I think sums up this day for me. He said, "I am not going to give you this $20 dollar bill to kiss tonight, but I am going to give it to you so that you will kiss EVERY night."
This made me tear up and this wasn't the only time during the day that I was glad I had my camera in front of my face.
Congratulations Sherri and Dave......I hope to see you again someday for a newborn session.
This is PART 1 - Getting Ready and the Ceremony, the rest will come tomorrow.
PS....Thanks to my assistant/sister Cheryl, couldn't have done it without you....
